HIS NAME

               Away in a manger, there was a baby boy;
       Baby Jesus, was his name!

Lost in the temple, teaching all who would hear;
    Young Jesus, was his name!

Learning his father's trade, a carpenter he became;
     Carpenter Jesus, was his name!

Baptized by John; spoke the Lord: "This is my Son".
Holy One, was his name!

Called his disciples; made fishers of men;
Wonderful, Jesus, was his name!

Making water into wine; healing all who came;
Almighty One, was his name!

Praying in Gethsemane; teaching disciples the way;
Master, Jesus, was his name!

Casting out demons, doing God's will for all;
Jesus the Son, was his name!

Last supper was spread, taking of wine and bread;
Lord of Lords, was his name!

Betrayed, put on the cross; forgiving the thief;
King Jesus was his name!

Laid down his life; gave up the ghost that we might live;
Christ Jesus, was his name!

Defeated Satan, possessed the Keys; shown to many;
Saviour, Messiah, was his name!

Ascended unto God; delivered his own blood;
Prince of Peace, was his name!

Came to Thomas, proved himself; now seated beside God;
Counselor, Jesus was his name!

Authority over all; gifts of the Spirit he gave;
Mighty God, was his name!

Came into my heart, where he now dwells;
Emmanuel, Jesus, is his name!

Soon to come back in clouds of Glory, for his own;
El Shaddai, is his name!
