Setting Up Eudora Pro

  1. Double Click on Eudora on your Desktop.
  2. Click on Tools.
  3. Click on Options at the bottom of the list.
  4. Use the Scroll Bar on the Left and scroll up until you see Getting Started and Click on this Icon.
  5. On the right hand side type in:
    • Real Name Box Your Name. ex...Harry Smith
    • Return Address Box username@ruralnetwork.net. ex...harry@ruralnetwork.net Use lower case letters.
    • Mail Server (Incoming) mail.ruralnetwork.net. Use lower case letters.
    • Login Name username. ex...harry Use lower case letters.
    • SMTP server (Outgoing): mail.ruralnetwork.net. Use lower case letters.
    • Check the Allow Authentication box.
  6. On the Left Hand side click the Checking Mail icon.
    • Put a Check in the Save Password box.
  7. On the Left Hand side click on the Internet Dialup icon.
    • On the Right Hand side put a Check in the Have Eudora connect Using Dialup Networking.
    • On the Right Hand side make sure there is NO Check in the Hang up after Receiving and Sending box.
    • On the Right Hand side put a Check in the Close connection on Exit box.
  8. Click OK on the bottom of the screen.
