The Company
Rural Network Services (RNS) is an affiliate of Midvale Telephone Exchange, Inc.
Midvale Telephone saw customers in the rural areas were being left behind the technology age. In 1995, MTE made the decision to provide Internet Service to several rural communities. Rural Network Services (RNS) was established in 1995 in order to provide Internet and Long Distance service to rural communities in Idaho, Oregon and Arizona. The office in Weiser opened in 1996. RNS quickly grew to become an established Internet Service Provider. In 2001 RNS expanded to provide local phone service to Businesses, and then in 2003 began offering residential phone service in Weiser, Idaho where we compete with Qwest.
Over the years our services have expanded to include DSL, Web Hosting, Web Design, Phone Systems, Phone Install and Repair (in Weiser).
Rural Network Services and Midvale Telephone continue to work together to improve communications in rural areas. In addition, they are a partner in Syringa Networks - a coalition of independent telephone companies in Idaho who have built a fiber optic network designed to meet the needs of rural Idaho.
The Management Team
The management team consists of Lane Wiliams, John Stuart. RNS Management focuses on providing the personalized, high quality service expected by rural customers.
Lane Williams has 45 years experience in telecommunications, business management, teaching and community service. He received his BS degree in Languages from the College of Idaho, Caldwell Idaho.
John Stuart has 25 years experience in the deployment of telecommunications and video systems, project and business management, and construction of large and small scale telecommunications and video systems. He has an Electronics Degree and has attended numerous training programs and seminars in his years with the company.
